THE GAUDIUM AWARDS

Since 1982, The Gaudium Awards have been given to men and women whose lives have “illumined the horizon of human experience” through their extraordinary vocations in the arts and public service.

An international company of writers, clergy, actors, composers, journalists, politicians, singers, musicians, teachers, doctors and dancers have accepted this honor for bringing to us: Gaudium…the Latin word for Joy!

The Gaudium Award ceremony is not only honorific but through the generosity of those attending significant funds are raised which are distributed annually to worthwhile charitable organizations.

About us

In 1988, the Breukelein Institute,a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit, non religious entity was established in Brooklyn, New York. Our outreach is to smaller organizations who work with the poor, particularly poor children. Often these groups live “under the radar” of large grant-giving foundations or corporations. For these “good works,” The Breukelein Institute has its special mission.
